Jorge I. Dominguez, PhD – Writer on International Affairs

Having enjoyed a nearly five-decade career in academia, Jorge I. Dominguez, PhD, is known for his work in international affairs. In addition to teaching university-level courses related to international affairs, Dr. Jorge I. Dominguez has written extensively on the subject.

Dr. Dominguez’s published articles and books cover Latin American and Caribbean politics, economic issues, dictatorial regimes, religion, and how these factors affect countries across South, Central, and North America and the Caribbean. His research has appeared in news publications such as the Boston Globe, Financial Times, Folha de Sao Paulo, the Los Angeles Times, the Harvard Crimson, the Miami Herald, Cuba News, The New York Times, and Newsday. His peer-reviewed research has been accepted by publications such as International Organization, the Connecticut Law Review, Foreign Policy, the Journal of Interdisciplinary History, Comparative Politics, Foreign Affairs, and other notable academic journals.

Dr. Dominguez has also written books and chapters of books on international affairs. He has also reviewed books for other researchers and academics, appeared on television broadcasts, and testified before Congress.

A retired Harvard University administrator, Dr. Dominguez spends his free time traveling, hiking, and attending concerts and theater.
